A Senior Session Full of Variety
There’s something so special about senior sessions that tell the whole story of this exciting season of life, and Johanna’s session did exactly that. As a Heirloom Senior Collection client, we had plenty of time to explore multiple locations, incorporate several outfits, and create a gallery that truly reflected her personality and style.
The Heirloom Senior Collection is designed for seniors who want more than just a few portraits. With extra time built into the experience, we were able to create a gallery filled with variety while documenting every part of this milestone season.
Downtown Fargo Style
We began our evening in Downtown Fargo, where Johanna kicked off the session in a vibrant bright pink two-piece outfit that paired beautifully with the city streets and modern architecture. The bold color made such a fun statement and brought so much energy to the images. She later changed into a timeless combination of jeans and a classic white top, creating a completely different look while keeping the session effortless and authentic.
A Meaningful Family Portrait Experience
One of my favorite parts of the Heirloom Senior Collection is that it includes complimentary family portraits. Johanna’s family joined us for part of the session, and we captured a variety of images together. It was such a joy to photograph this beautiful family.
I love including family portraits in this collection because it’s the perfect opportunity to update those family photos that so often get pushed aside. Life gets busy, schedules fill up, and before you know it, years have gone by since everyone was in front of the camera together. Senior year is such a meaningful milestone, making it the perfect time to preserve these memories alongside your senior portraits.
Summer Flowers & Golden Hour at Orchard Glen Park
As the evening continued, we made our way to Orchard Glen Park. Mid-July is one of my favorite times of year there because the flowers are in full bloom, creating the most beautiful backdrop for portraits. The colorful gardens and lush greenery gave the second half of Johanna’s gallery a completely different feel from our downtown location.
To make the evening even better, we were treated to a gorgeous North Dakota sunset. The soft golden light wrapped around Johanna perfectly and created the dreamiest ending to an already beautiful session. It was the perfect way to wrap up a summer evening and a senior session full of variety, joy, and beautiful memories.
