A Cozy Anniversary Session in the Northwoods
There’s something especially meaningful about slowing down and celebrating love in a quiet, intentional way, and Hank and Rose’s anniversary session was exactly that. Instead of a traditional outdoor session, they chose something a little more intimate — a cozy cabin getaway where we could capture the simple moments that reflect their relationship so naturally.
Tucked away in the peaceful woods near Brainerd, we met at the absolutely charming Northbound A Frame MN. From the moment you step inside, the space feels warm and welcoming, with the kind of cozy atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, pour a cup of coffee, and stay awhile.
Anniversary sessions like this are always special because they focus less on posing and more on simply capturing a couple as they are together.
Slow Morning Moments at the Cabin
Hank and Rose leaned fully into the cozy cabin vibe during our time together. They brewed coffee, wrapped up in blankets, and settled into the kind of relaxed morning that feels both peaceful and joyful at the same time.
One of my favorite parts of the session was watching their playful dynamic unfold naturally. Whether they were sharing quiet moments with a warm mug of coffee, laughing together, or stealing a few snuggles on the couch, their connection was effortless and genuine.
At one point they pulled out a game of Scrabble, which ended up being one of the sweetest parts of the session. It turned into a mix of playful competition and laughter — the kind of small moment that says so much about a relationship. Those unscripted interactions are always the ones that make photos feel the most authentic.
